Our Team

Founded in 2011, Kristen Renee Photography, Inc. is a wife and wife team with a passion for queer, off-beat, and non-traditional weddings and families. KRP is based out of Albany, New York but we love traveling nationwide for our clients. We bring an easy-going, photojournalistic documentary style to our work, and our goal is to create natural images of our clients that capture the true spirit and emotion of their wedding day. Kristen Renee Photography, Inc. is a fully licensed and insured business.

Kristen Renee

Owner and lead photographer.
Kristen began learning the art of photography in elementary school, from her father. She has been photographing professionally since 2011.

Fun Facts:
1. I started using a camera when I was 3 years old.
2. I taught middle school English for 10 years.
3. I resigned teaching and switch to full time photographer in 2014.
4. I’ve been a member of Albany Voices of Pride since 2023 and Vice President since 2024.
5. Most of my Netflix feed is British and Korean shows.

Sheridan Bulmer-Renee

Partner and co-photographer.
Sheridan joined the team in 2022. She has a unique vision and complementary perspective that brings a beautiful balance to client galleries.

Fun Facts:
1. I was born in South Africa and have lived in California, Manhattan, and New Jersey.
2. I have twin sons who are in college.
3. I worked as a career nanny for 30 years.
4. The first time I used a professional camera in 2022 it was sort of as a joke, but I accidentally fell in love with the art and couldn’t stop.
5. Family portraits feel like second nature to me.
