TROY ENGAGEMENT SESSION | JOELY + TOM
To be asked to photograph the wedding of friends is truly one of the greatest honors I could ask for. I have known Joely and Tom for a long time and they are some of the friendliest and most down to earth people I have ever met. Joely used to work with my husband and the four of us have run in a Zombie 5K together (and hopefully will again). Something else really special about these two is that they are in a band together, Stretch. I think that could be a hard thing, but they make it work! They play all cover songs and do an amazing job at it. I always wish that I could go to more of their shows – anyone want to babysit?
When planning their engagement session they left a lot of the decision making up to me and when they asked what props they should use I recommended they bring their new puppy, Tucker! Tucker is estimated to be about 3 months old and was adopted from Heaven Sent Animal Rescue. He is seriously one of the sweetest little dogs I have met and makes me reconsider my negative stance on small dogs (I like them, but I never want one… unless it’s like Tucker)!
We’d had to reschedule this session once due to rain, so when it rained in the morning on the day of our shoot I got really nervous. Thankfully it didn’t last! I love that these two were willing to sit right down in the wet grass at Russell Sage campus in Troy and never gave it a second thought. I can tell that we are going to have a blast at their wedding in the fall!
